Safety Glasses.
When moving into the field and out of the safe zone, all players are to wear safety glasses. Removal of their safety glasses may result in being reprimanded by a marshal. Regular prescription glasses are NOT acceptable as safety eyewear. Eye protection must meet ANSI Z87.1 standards.
Blind man.
There may be situations where non-players are present on the field or a players glasses breaking, resulting in a Blind Man situation. The call "Blind Man" is then echoed around the field, repeated by players and the game is put on pause.
This means no movement, reloading, pointing out enemy positions, etc. A Marshall will attend to the situation, and shout the phrase "Game On". Following this, the game resumes.
Concealed Blind Man.
There may be a situation where some players sneak into a hidden position. If they hear a "Blind Man", they may elect to not repeat it. But MUST abide by the paused game rule. Once "Game On" is called, they may carry on playing.
Players having issues with their safety glasses such as fogging, should call for the assistance of a marshal and not call blind man.
Red Alert.
Unfortunately, people can be hurt. In a situation where a player has been hurt and requires medical assistance, "Red Alert" may be shouted.
This, like blind man, echo’s around the field and pauses the game. Marshalls and those with medical aid training will rush to the situation and help attend to the player before continuing the game.
A call of "Game On" from the Marshalls resumes the game again.
Calling Hit.
When a player is shot, they are to shout loudly- "Hit". Followed by pulling out and displaying their Red Death Rag above their head. They can then enter the bleeding state or return to their spawn, whichever is applicable.
While bleeding out, moving out of the sun into the shade is acceptable.
Dead men tell no tales.
When Hit and returning to spawn or in the bleeding out state. Players may NOT indicate, hint or motion to the location of other players they are dead and may not respond in game. Those bleeding out may shout for a medic however.
BB Physics.
BB's tend to have a weird set of Physics. At times, the wind can send your bb one way, and the grass may send it another. Should you think that you have hit a player, but they do not call "Hit!". Advanced closer, or take another shot. If the situation repeats, try switching to full auto.
Call your hit.
In some situations, you may see a player not calling their hit. This could be due to them not feeling it due to layers of equipment, not hearing the impact or outright cheating. The correct form when dealing with this is to either fire again at the target, or to report the situation to a Marshall. Screaming and shouting at the player who has not called their hit is extremely childish and will only further antagonize a situation.
Blind Fire.
When shooting your airsoft rifle or pistol, players must be conscious of where they are aiming at all times. To fire around trees, behind them or over walls without looking is considered blind fire and is dangerous and banned. Hits received this way are to be ignored.
Bang Rule.
As a courtesy, weapons have certain engagement distances to prevent players being hurt. Those with a 5m minimum engagement weapon may, whilst consciously aware of their target (ie. No Blind fire) shout "BANG" within their relevant minimum engagement distance. The opposing player is then given the chance to call "Hit!". Should the opponent attempt to continue his fight, the player may then shoot him.
Full auto & Burst
Some weapons may have the option of firing fully-automatic. Whilst allowed, it is best to keep it to burts of 3-5 rounds. When entering a play area that may have combat within 10 meters, rather switch to semi-automatic. No-one enjoys being shot that many times in close proximity.
• LMGs and Support Guns are allowed 5 seconds of full auto, LMG and Support guns are NOT allowed to use FULL AUTO within 10 Meters, and they are relative to their minimum engagement if they are above 10 Meters minimum engagement
• No bursts and/or FULL AUTO are allowed within 5 Meters even if your Gun is under 1 joule
• HPA rifles are not permitted for FULL AUTO due to the immense fire rate that HPA allows (This excludes LMG HPA tapped rifles, as these will follow LMG rules.)
Grenades and Smoke.
Grenades may be Audio or physical. Throwing BB's or simply a firecracker. The radius for all grenades is 5m, once gone off all players within its proximity are considered Hit.
To avoid a grenade either leave its radius, hide behind a large amount of solid cover (large rocks/large trees that cover your
whole body) or behind your friends.
Smoke grenades are (if applicable) to be considered poisonous. They may not be picked up or moved after being ignited and thrown. However special attention is to be given to them by their user to prevent the spread of fires.
Physical Contact.
Absolutely no physical contact at any point between players or moderators is permitted. Anyone found to be breaking this rule will be immediately asked to leave the field and banned until further notice from all events.
Marshals = GM.
The Marshal is the final approval for all field decisions, the calling of games, resolutions on all conflicts and issues, and responsible for all safety related items and events that occur on the field. If a conflict or discrepancy arises that cannot be solved between groups, the game is stopped and the game moderator makes the final decision regarding the conflict or discrepancy. If you want to appeal a Marshals ruling you can make a formal appeal at SAACA and the matter will be reviewed and a final ruling will be given by the committee.
Code Blue.
This is a potentially dangerous situation, and is treated as if they don’t know we are playing a game. All players are expected to freeze where they are on the field and follow instructions of the marshals with no chatter or arguing, they will be asked to either walk back to the safe zone or place all gear on the ground and back away from it at least 10 meters. If asked to move to the safe zone all players will do it in plain sight with their guns over their head. Upon reaching the “Safe Zone” each player is to place his replica with his gear and gather in a group at least 20 meters from the gear. This is to provide safety by comforting the officers by removing any equipment that appears threatening to them. Game play is not commenced until we explain the situation and are allowed to continue.
Weapons Check. All airsoft weapons will be checked by “game moderators” and checked by chronograph prior to every game
